On the last weekend of August a mini bus filled with excited young women from Salford Lads Club arrived at Ormside Mill in Cumbria.
They fully embraced all of the outdoor activities on offer and rose to every challenge.
The Club had that week celebrated 120 years since the day it first opened its doors to the youth of Ordsall, and the fact that they now have all female residential trips and a girls football team in residence in Salford is testament to how far the club have come from those early days when Lads Clubs were created.
