On the last weekend in August 2023 a mini bus filled with excited young women from Salford arrived at Ormside Mill, and so began a weekend of adventure for the girls on their second group visit to the lakes.

It was in the same week that the Salford Lads Club celebrated 120 years since their doors were first opened to the youth of Ordsall and beyond and its clear from the very fact that girls are a big part of the club these days, just how far the club has progressed.

Their all girl football team are hugely encouraged at the club and it is empowering to see the Salford lasses embracing all the great outdoors had to offer last weekend. Here are a few pics taken of their adventures.
