I have been involved with GM Youth Federation for 8 years and feel passionate about offering the young people of our city region opportunities to experience new activities, deepen their skills with existing hobbies and have a safe place to meet friends. I feel equally passionate about supporting the volunteers within our organisation who make this happen.
Even though my professional life was spent as a lawyer I have always been involved in sport and outdoor pursuits with young people and pursued my own sport with hockey and then golf. These days I am more likely to be found walking my dogs along a coastline somewhere or, failing that, in our lovely north west countryside.
In my spare time (occasionally that does happen) I am a Deputy Lieutenant for Greater Manchester and a Licensed Lay Reader in the Church of England.
