Wythenshawe Community Housing Group’s Youth Involvement team brought a group of 10 young people up to Ormside Mill on what was one of the sunniest weekends of the year!
The group spent the whole of the Saturday on the water! The morning was on Ullswater, learning how to paddle in a canoe, and playing lots of games (trying to fall in the water just to keep cool!), and in the afternoon they did a crazy ghyll scramble, jumping in lots of natural pools and sliding down rivers! On both nights the young people cooked dinner for the whole group, some learning to cook for the first ever time. The group finished off their action packed weekend doing the high rope activities on the grounds of Ormside Mill. They included a tree climb, a challenging cargo net and the high all aboard.
