“I Joined GMYF in August 2023 and have 15 years’ experience working in youth services across the North East, North Yorkshire and the North West of England, and in both the statutory and voluntary sector. Initially, I started out as a 20-year-old detached youth worker speaking to Young People on the streets of Newcastle and my career has since developed into project/building based youth work and more targeted and specialist work in sexual health, CSE and Mental Health. It is important to me that Young people are at the centre of everything we do, and that we understand and work hard to overcome the many barriers they experience to accessing services. I have a passion for partnership working and ensuring that our services are trauma-informed, high quality and meet the needs of the Young People and Community.
In my spare time, I absolutely love to read, especially anything about understanding people and the psychology behind them. I am a foodie who loves cooking, connecting with friends, fitness, being outdoors and travelling. Although, my adventurous inquisitive toddler keeps me currently very occupied at the moment!”
